What is TANF you ask? A new and fancy word for “WELFARE.”
T.A.N.F is a governement funded program that helps the needy (men, women and children with or without disabilites) who are having trouble finding work, or not making enough money to cover their expenses.
There are TWO major programs:
- FA ( Family Assistance)- cash assistance for needy families that include a minor child living with a parent, both parents or a caretaker.
- SNA (Safety Net Asssistance)- this program is designed for those who are not eligible for the other assistance programs. Example, childless adults, children not living with their parents, families of persons who are abusing drug and alcohol, etc.
This is a great resource and assistance for anyone who falls within the guidelines. As you, know this is GOVERNMENT FUNDED so there are alot of requirements. Please do your research on their site and see if you apply,
